Give Your Child The Courage To Be GREAT
'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.' By Nelson Mandela

Happy Mother's Day to all mums out there.
Helping your little ones develop their imagination is one of the best things you can do for them. An imaginative mind goes hand in hand with creativity and emotional intelligence. A well developed imagination will help them excel in school and later become great visionaries. Our minds are powerful tool that attract things into our lives. The more skilled we become in imagining a wonderful, happy life for ourselves, the more likely we are to live such a life.
'Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attraction,' Albert Einstein.
You can start as early as when you introduce them to solids. Playing games during and around feeding time is a great way to help them transition to solid food and enjoy being introduced to new tastes. Most importantly, through play-acting, you will help open the floodgates to their imagination.
Start by encouraging them to imitate your actions during food preparation time. For example, when you are about to mash or blend their food, hand them either a plastic cup with a lid (to use as a blender) or a plastic fork and encourage them to imitate you as you blend and mash. Of course, make sure you do it in a safe environment away from hot foods and stoves. You'll be amazed at how quickly your little ones get into the spirit of the game.
Baby Recipe of the Week:
Organic Banana Milk Shake
- 1/2 a tub of 'Yamee Frozen Banana Whip' (for little ones, warm the banana whip to room temperature) OR half an organic banana from your local organic store

- Blend to smooth consistency and serve. If serving in a sippy cup, make sure the shake is not too thick.
- Also make sure you serve bub first before trying any yourself :)
